Phorusrhacidae
Known as the "terror bird" and reached heights of almost 10 feet tall and lived in the South American area. Had the largest bird head found and a very large beak (being about 18 inches) with the shape of an eagles beak. Some believe this bird was a carnivorous bird, others think that this bird was a herbivore, although there is no real way of knowing since the beak could be used for either meat or vegetation. This animal was a ambush tactic predator if it ate meat since it was such a large predator so it was agile to chase its prey and hide in the dense forests.
